The course will aim at streamlining the focus of the research process, discussions, and overall research work. It will involve examining research/project progress, having gained knowledge from the previous two modules on research methods. This will be for Plan A students who will be on course to starting their research.  The course is majorly conducted by way of public presentations by students under guidance of supervisors.


The course in intended for Plan A students and builds on CIV7102 Master Research Seminar I, aiming at further streamlining the focus of the research process, discussions, and overall research work. It will involve examining research/project progress, having gained knowledge from the previous two modules on research methods. This will be for Plan A students who will be on course with their research.  The course is majorly conducted by way of public presentations by students under guidance of supervisors.


In this module, each student works on a research project approved by the department.  The research study is aimed at developing the student’s ability to apply the concepts learnt in the course to practical problems.  The student is expected to demonstrate a good understanding of the problem and to carry out a study using recognized methods of scientific enquiry.  Throughout the duration of the project, a supervisor appointed by the department guides the student.
