I Welcome you to Ndejje University and to the department of clinical medicine and community health. My name is Mr. Serugo Isaac and I am your lecturer for Primary Health Care.

PHCis the essential health care based on practical scientifically sound and socially acceptable methods and technology, made universally accessible to individuals and families in the community through their full participation and at a cost that the community and country can afford to maintain at every stage of their development in the spirit of self reliance and self determination.

Since our health care system is built on PHC Concepts, this course unit will enhance your understanding of Uganda's Health system within communities and the major activities and personnel involved. The subject will put emphasis on mainly preventive and promotive health care activities .

Though the study is made online, however it will be very practical and interractive through virtual classroom and field visits.
